Resin flooring provides a tough, chemical resistant floor finish suitable for domestic, industrial and commercial projects.
Resin has the advantage of being extremely tough as well as having a degree of flexibility under stress; this property gives it durability under impact and thermal shock. Resin also has a compressive strength that is far greater than concrete, it will dissipate loading and can increase the weight bearing limit of the base concrete.
The chemical interaction between the two component parts creates a surface that can be stronger than concrete itself because of the way resin combines with and is absorbed by the concrete, chemically fixing the surface and forming a continuous layer (providing the concrete is correctly prepared and primed).
Seamless resin floors provide an impervious barrier and enable floors to be cleaned easily and effectively. Its properties ensure it should not taint and can be pressure washed (check product specifications). Epoxy resin is also resistant to most cleaning products.
Epoxy Resin Systems are resistant to a variety of chemicals including acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and petrol. When applied as a seamless floor they prevent damage to the concrete beneath.
An extensive range of finishes are possible using resin based systems from colour choice to the addition of coloured quartz, and decorative flake systems including natural and dyed aggregates. An anti slip surface can be achieved by adding graded aggregates within the base layer, different properties can be produced by the size and or coverage rates ensuring the best choice for wet or greasy floors can be achieved.
Resins can protect, prolong life expectancy and prevent potential problems of damage or wear to unprotected concrete floors e.g. marks and impact damage or chemical damage to the structure of the material. It is worth noting that such damage may not only be unsightly or inconvenient but may also constitute a structural or Health and Safety issue.

Love the garage floor! My friends love the floor, my mum loves the floor - 'You could dance on this!'. I think even the car will love this floor. Phil was prompt, friendly, and efficient... even with building hold-ups. Sweeping up is now (almost) a pleasure. So much better than the ratty old concrete floor that was there. Pictures show soon after laying with Phil's plastic 'doors' and a a few days later looking the other way. Thanks Phil.
