Polyurethane Screed Solutions For Factories in Cambridgeshire & East Anglia
Used extensively throughout the food industry, this totally seamless product can be coved to ensure the highest standards of hygiene can be achieved after the floor has been laid.
There are primarily two version of Polyurethane screeds, a hand trowelled system providing a textured finish and a self levelling version. We generally recommend the troweled systems as they offer high levels of slip resistance, essential where floor areas may be constantly wet through washing down.
Trowelled polyurethane screeds are laid at 6mm for normal use and 9mm where steam cleaning of the floor is required, this highly chemical and temperature resistant floor is actually stronger than concrete.
Polyurethane Screeds
Polyurethane screeds are typically laid between 6mm to 9mm and provide a highly durable impact resistant and commercial resistant floor finish. These floors are most effective in areas such as food production factories, breweries, chemical plants and engineering industries. With non-slip properties and the ability to be steamed cleaned these floors set themselves apart from the rest when areas are being used for heavy use and commercial spillages.
Pair Your New Polyurethane Floor With a Floor Cove.
It is common, especially in commercial kitchens and food manufacturing facilities where polyurethane screeds have been installed, to incorporate a seamless floor cove. The coving is formed in-situ with a similar material to the floor and is often colour matched, although a contrasting colour is also possible.
The cove can be finished to a trim installed on the wall, or in some cases can be seamlessly finished into the wall finishes, whether that be tile, wall panelling etc. Common coving sizes are 100mm high with either a 50mm or 25mm radius cove, although the cove height can be adjusted to clients requirements.
